Perhaps
You’ve Had the Desire All Along...
It
can be visiting an elder in their home, maybe helping someone pay
their bills or advocating on behalf of a nursing home resident or
helping deliver Meals on Wheels.
Tri-Valley’s
ability to provide those services depends on volunteers.
Elders
and people with disabilities look to people in their Worcester County
communities who take to heart the goal of maintaining the highest
possible quality of life for others.
There
are a multitude of rewards for the time you give: The smiles, the
“thank-you’s,” the knowledge that you are the
only person someone may see that entire day. Volunteers form a support
community outside of government that will continue in your town,
for your family, for your neighbors, and ultimately for yourself.
Ask
some of the 900-plus volunteers already participating across our
region and they’ll let you in on a little secret: You get
back easily as much as you give.
Do
you have a few minutes a week or each month to help?
Your
contribution of even the simplest tasks can fulfill the Tri-Valley
mission:
to
“enable these persons to live in the most practically attainable
comfort, dignity and independence; and to avoid or postpone the
high personal or public cost of institutionalization.”
We’ll
help you make the most of your volunteer opportunity. We’ll
match the tasks that need to be done with your desires, your expertise
and your availability.
Ask
at Tri-Valley about volunteering and we’ll point the way
to exercise the compassionate spirit that is already inside you.
