Crisis
Intervention Program
The Crisis Intervention
Program addresses the needs of self-neglecting elders 60 and older
who may be at risk in the community and are unable to meet their
own essential needs for physical or emotional well-being. Crisis
Intervention workers help elders with issues including:
o
Evictions
o Neglecting their own health care needs
o Hoarding
o Substance abuse
o Addiction
o Housing and credit card debt.
The goal is
to increase an elder’s independence, safety, and support systems
by problem-solving with the elder and bringing about a resolution
whenever possible.
